Changling town
Changling Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changling County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Changling County, bordering Liushui town in the East and Southeast, yaotuozi Township in the south, Xin'an town in the southwest, qianqihao town in the west, santuan Township in the northwest, and qianguoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County in the north and northeast. The total administrative area is 454.66 square kilometers.
Changling town was originally located in Changyi district. In December 2020, three sub district offices, Changsheng, Changzhi and Changchang, were set up in Changling Town, and the people's Government of Changling town was relocated to Shanwan village. By the end of 2018, Changling town had 99099 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Changling town has 10 communities and 19 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total revenue of Changling town was 210 million yuan, including 110 million yuan of local revenue. In 2014, the total social production value of Changling town was 9.7 billion yuan.
History of construction
In 1910, Changyi district was renamed Changyi township.
In 1919, it was changed to the first district. In April 1946, Changling town was located in Chengguan District, with jurisdiction over six streets: Northeast, southwest, northwest, dongmenwai and nanmenwai. In March 1947, it belonged to Chengguan District.
In 1950, it was changed to the first district.
In October 1953, Changling town was set up, belonging to the first district, with jurisdiction over the first, second, third and fourth communes of workers and peasants.
In 1958, it merged with several nearby agricultural cooperatives to form Liming commune; at the end of 1958, it was renamed Changling commune.
In April 1961, four communes, dong6, Longfeng, Shuanglong and Taiping, emerged. Changling commune governed four brigades: dongmenwai, nanmenwai, beimenwai and vegetable brigade.
In 1963, the first central brigade of beimenwai brigade emerged.
In July 1964, the commune was transformed into a town.
In October 2002, Guangtai township of Changling County was assigned to Changling town.
In 2005, Longfeng and East No.6 Township were merged.
On December 31, 2020, Changsheng, Changzhi and Changzhou sub district offices will be set up in Changling Town, and the people's Government of Changling town will be relocated to Shanwan village.

Changling town is located in the platform plain of Songliao watershed. It is a part of Songliao watershed. The terrain is flat, slightly inclined from northeast to southwest, surrounded by hills. The ground height is generally between 190-204 meters above sea level. The soil is chernozem and aeolian sandy soil. There are no mountains and rivers in the town.
