Taiping Township, belonging to Tuquan County, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Tuquan County, adjacent to Taonan City, Jilin Province in the East, Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner in the south, Tuquan town in the West and Shuiquan town in the north. The area of Tai Pingxiang is 592.89 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the number of registered residence population is 23132.
In 1952, Taiping Township was designated as Taiping District; in 1958, Taiping commune was established; in 1983, Taiping Township was changed. As of June 2020, Taiping rural area has 21 village committees and 1 forest farm living area.
