Zhonghe Town, subordinate to Meihekou City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Meihekou City, on the South Bank of Huifa River, bordering Hongmei town and Meihe coal mine in the East, Shuidao town in the south, and Shancheng town in the West and North. It is 22 kilometers away from Meihekou City, with a total area of 64.75 square kilometers.

In 1880, Zhonghe town belonged to Hailong Fumin hall. On July 4, 1992, Zhonghe town was replaced by Zhonghe town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Zhonghe town was 14642. History of construction

Zhonghe town is named after Zhonghe village.

Qingguangxu six years (1880), is the Hailong Fumin hall.

In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it belonged to toubashi Township, the garrison envoy of dongbiandao. In 1934, it was the Sixth District of Hailong county. In 1936, Huashu village was established. In 1906 (1943), it was renamed Zhonghe village. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), Gaizhong district (seven districts) was stationed in baijiapu.

In March 1956, the township of erbashi was established.

In March 1958, erbashi township was changed into Zhonghe commune.

In September 1983, Zhonghe commune was changed into Zhonghe township.

On July 4, 1992, Zhonghe township was replaced by Zhonghe town.
