Wulan Town, belonging to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the South Bank of the Yellow River in the middle of Jingyuan County, adjacent to Gaowan Township in the East, Wulan mountain in the South and Dalu Township in the south, ruoli Township and Beiwan town in the west, Dongwan town in the North and mitan Township across the river, with a total administrative area of 363.67 square kilometers.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Chengguan Town Office; in 1983, it was changed to Wulan township; in 2005, Wulan township was withdrawn to build a town, and Chengguan town was merged into Wulan town. By the end of 2018, the population of Ulan town registered residence was 90057. In June 2020, Wulan town has 9 communities and 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Wulan town was 5050 yuan. In 2018, there were 72 industrial enterprises in Wulan Town, including one above scale and 219 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Chengguan Town Office.
After 1949, it was the seventh district office of Jingyuan County.
In 1958, it was rebuilt into two communes, Xitan and Chengguan.
In 1963, it was merged into Chengguan District Office.
In 1968, it was converted into Chengguan commune.
It was changed to Wulan Township in 1983.
In 2005, the township of Wulan was withdrawn and the town of Chengguan was merged into Wulan town.
