Shuangsheng town is under the jurisdiction of Yilong county. In the Qing Dynasty, it was named shuanghechang, also known as Shuanghekou. Shuanghe township was set up in 1940. It was renamed Shuangsheng Township in 1980. Shuangsheng town is located along the Xin (Zheng) MA (an) highway, 16 kilometers away from the county, covering an area of 44.2 square kilometers.
