Jinshan Town, belonging to Nanchuan District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Nanchuan District, adjacent to Toudu town in the East, Shixi town in Tongzi County of Guizhou Province in the south, Qijiang District in the west, Nanping Town and Nancheng street in the north. It is 45 kilometers away from the residence of Nanchuan District People's government, with a total area of 101.27 square kilometers.
At the end of Ming Dynasty, there was a market town in Jinshan Town; in August 1992, it was changed from Jinshan Township to Jinshan Town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Jinshan Town was 14962. As of June 2020, Jinshan Town has one community and four administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xiaoheba community.
In 2018, there were 19 industrial enterprises in Jinshan Town, including one above scale and five comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the late Ming Dynasty, there were market towns in Xiaohe township.
In 1913, Xiaohe township was established. In 1940, Toudu township was merged into Xiaohe Township and became daili township. In 1947, daili township was withdrawn and Xiaohe township was restored.
In September 1955, Sancha and Qingxi were merged into Xiaohe.
In October 1958, Xiaohe township was changed into Xiaohe commune.
In November 1980, Xiaohe commune was renamed Jinshan commune.
In December 1983, it was changed from Jinshan commune to Jinshan Township.
In August 1992, it was changed from Jinshan Township to Jinshan Town.
