Shahe Subdistrict
Shahe street, belonging to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of the main urban area of Wanzhou, with Tiancheng town in the East, Zhoujiaba street in the south, Taibai street in the west, and Gaoliang town in the north. It is 15 kilometers away from the government of Wanzhou District, covering an area of 11.2 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Shahe street was the 12th new town in Wanxian county (now Wanzhou District); in January 1994, it was changed from Shahe Town to Shahe street. In 2020, there will be 8182 permanent residents, 18487 and 18031 floating population in Shahe street. As of June 2020, Shahe street has 6 communities and 4 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at 333 Fengxian Road.
The main food crops in Shahe Street are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs and poultry; the main industries are machinery and electronics, automobile manufacturing, chemical industry, food and medicine, textile and clothing, building materials and furniture processing. In 2020, Shahe Street will have three industrial parks, more than 480 registered enterprises and more than 12000 workers.
History of construction
The first year of the Republic of China (1912), is Wanxian (now Wanzhou District) the twelfth new town protection.
At the beginning of 1950, it belonged to Wuliang township.
In April 1951, Shahe Town was established from Wuliang township.
In January 1994, Shahe Town was changed into Shahe street.
