Heping Town is located in the east of Lufeng County, 22.5km away from the county. It is adjacent to Bicheng town in the north, Qinfeng town in the East, Jinshan Town and Zhongcun town in the west, Maojie town in Wuding County in the northwest and Anning City in the southeast. The town covers an area of 284.7 square kilometers. With convenient transportation, Luwu highway and Chengdu Kunming Railway run through the whole town. The highest point in the territory is the north slope of laohuqing in BAISHIYAN, with an altitude of 2420 meters. The lowest point is qiansuozhushan River, with an altitude of 1640 meters and an average altitude of 1808 meters. The town has 13 villager committees, 123 natural villages and 158 villager groups.
