Shuiquan Township
Shuiquan township is located in the southwest of Kulun banner, 63 kilometers away from the seat of Kulun banner government. It is connected with Baiyinhua town in the East, Jiumiao town and Fuxingdi town in Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County of Liaoning Province in the south, kouhezi town in the West and Liujiazi town in the north.
Overview of villages and towns
The total land area is 300 square kilometers, including 146000 mu of cultivated land, 124000 mu of woodland and 106000 mu of pasture. It has jurisdiction over 22 Gacha villages and 75 villager groups. The total population is 11105 (2017), living in Han, Mongolian, Manchu, Hui and other ethnic groups. Shuiquan rural area is located in the upper reaches of Liuhe river. It is rich in natural resources, such as lead-zinc, fluorite, iron ore, heiyaoyan and other mineral resources; wild animals include sparrow, pheasant, hedgehog, squirrel, hare and badger; wild plants include Platycodon grandiflorum, Scutellaria baicalensis, Polygala tenuifolia, dandelion and so on. Agriculture is the main economic type, and agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry are developed at the same time. Agriculture mainly produces corn, sunflower, buckwheat, mung bean, black bean, millet and more than ten varieties of miscellaneous grains.
Evolution of organizational system
Shuiquan Township, formerly known as Shuiquan people's commune, was founded in 1962. In 1984, it was renamed Shuiquan township. In 2000, nine Gacha villages in gollinsumu were merged with Shuiquan township to establish Shuiquan town. In 2006, Shuiquan town was merged into kouhezi Town, which was under the jurisdiction of kouhezi town. In 2014, Kulun banner set up a new township, Shuiquan township.

Shouyin temple is located in gelingacha, Shuiquan Township, with an altitude of 310 meters, a construction area of 1254 square meters, a width of 22 meters from east to west, and a length of 28.5 meters from north to South; it covers a total area of 7390 square meters, a length of 150.15 meters from north to south, and a width of 49.26 meters from east to west. In September 2006, Shouyin temple was announced as a key cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous region level by the government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; in May 2013, it was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relic protection units by the State Council. It is now under the management of Kulun banner cultural relics management office, with two fixed management personnel. Shouyin temple, as a direct historical witness of the "integration of politics and religion" system of Kulun Lama banner, witnessed the history of Kulun Lama banner disintegrated from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, including the origin and evolution of its politics, economy, religion, culture, science and technology and other fields. To a certain extent, the history of Shouyin temple is the history of Kulun banner in the Qing Dynasty, which not only has great historical significance Besides, it has the function of supplementing history, proving history and important research value.
