Yongle Town
Yongle Town, subordinate to Fengjie County of Chongqing, is located on the South Bank of the Yangtze River in Fengjie County. It connects Daxi town of Wushan County in the East, Xinmin Town and Hefeng Township in the south, Anping town in the west, Baidi Town, Yong'an town and Zhuyi town across the Yangtze River in the North. It is 4.9 km away from the residence of Fengjie County Government, with a total area of 126.53 square kilometers.
In the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, Yongle Town was located in the South Bank of Duli; in September 1992, dui county and Yongle Township were merged into Yongle Town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Yongle Town was 35294. As of June 2020, Yongle Town has three communities, seven administrative villages and five groups of MODIAN community under the people's Government of Yongle Town.
Yongle Town's food crops are mainly rice, wheat, corn and potato; animal husbandry is mainly raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises in Yongle Town, including 3 Enterprises above Designated Size and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it belongs to the south bank.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to anpingyi township of Guanwu town.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it followed the Qing system. In 1916, it was transferred to the third district. In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), it belonged to the small character group.
In 1930, it belonged to Xiaozi township. In 1935, it was a small joint insurance. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the territory for the small one joint insurance. In 1940, it belonged to Xiaoyi township; in August of the same year, it belonged to Wenfeng township; in 1941, it belonged to Xinmin and Wenfeng township.
After 1949, it belongs to Xinmin Township of Guanyin district.
In September 1953, Yongle township was established.
In March 1955, Yongle township was merged into duixian Township and Jiangnan Township in Xinmin district.
In November 1958, communes were set up in counties and townships and Jiangnan Township in Xinmin district.
In June 1961, duixian commune was divided into duixian commune and Yongle commune.
In October 1983, dui county and Yongle commune were changed into Dui county and Yongle township.
In September 1992, the township and Yongle Township were merged into Yongle Town.
In July 2004, Jiangnan Township and changnei village of changnei Township were included in Yongle Town.
