Sanmen town

Sanmen town is a town under the jurisdiction of Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. It is located in the south of Tianyuan District. It is named because there are three stone caves in Xiangshui village, which look like Sanmen. The administrative area is 92.74 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 34852 (in 2017). It governs one neighborhood committee and 14 village committees, and the town people's government is located in Shangjie street.

Sanmen town is close to Xiangjiang River, which is a typical hilly landform. Sanmen town is a key town in China. Rice is the main food crop. Pig breeding, food production and net cage fishing are the three traditional agricultural industries. The industry mainly produces lighting glass. Beijing Hong Kong Macao expressway, Sangu line, Tianxiao line, Santan line and Sanmen Avenue transit.

History of construction

The Republic of China belongs to Xiangtan County.

In 1959, it was transferred to the suburb of Zhuzhou City.

In 1965, it was assigned to Zhuzhou County.

In February 2011, it was assigned to Tianyuan District.

Sanmen town is located in the south of Tianyuan District, on the West Bank of Xiangjiang River. It is 35 kilometers away from the district government. The maximum distance between East and West is 8.25 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 14.36 km, with a total area of 92 square kilometers. The land area is 86.7 square kilometers, accounting for 94.3%; the water area is 5.3 square kilometers, accounting for 5.7%.

In the total population, there are 18188 males, accounting for 51.7%; 17001 females, accounting for 48.3%; 5067 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 14.4%; 25829 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 73.4%; 4293 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 12.2%. In 2011, the birth rate was 11.7 ‰, the death rate was 4.1 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 7.6 ‰. The population density is 383 per square kilometer.

As of 2016, there were 33831 permanent residents in Sanmen Town, including 1762 in urban built-up area.

Agriculture

Sanmen town is a big agricultural town with 40000 mu of cultivated land, including 36000 mu of paddy field. Pig breeding, grain production, cage farming and fishing are three traditional agricultural industries, which are well-known in Zhuzhou. There are 200000 live pigs, accounting for one fourth of the total output of Zhuzhou County. There are Huifeng, Nengfeng and Canglong breeding cooperatives. The total grain output reached 35000 tons, accounting for one tenth of the total output of Zhuzhou County.

Industry and Commerce

Sanmen town focuses on cultivating key enterprises such as lighting glass, non-ferrous smelting, carton processing and building materials. In the early 1970s, Sanmen town began to produce glass lighting products. At the end of 2011, there was one postal savings office and one telecommunication service network in Sanmen town. There is one Waterworks in the town, with a daily water supply of 2000 tons.

Transportation

There are four main roads in the territory, including Sangu line, Tianxiao line, Santan line and Sanmen Avenue, and Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway passes through. At the end of 2011, there were 10 regular buses from lanmen town to Hexi of Zhuzhou City.

Since July 22, 2020, No. 203 village bus from Tangwan bus station to Sanmen town in Zhuzhou City has been opened.

According to the "master plan of Sanmen Town, Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City (2016-2040)", Sanmen town is planned to have Xiangjiang Avenue, provincial road 335, Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway and south line of Shanghai Kunming expressway. Xiangjiang Avenue connects Zhuzhou City, leidashi Town, Sanmen town and Longzhou town from north to south, and interchanges with the south line of Shanghai Kunming Expressway on the west side of Sanmen town; provincial highway 335 connects guyuefeng in the West and Nanzhou New Area in the East; Beijing Hong Kong Macao Expressway leads to Hengdong County from Changsha, and passes through the town in the north-south direction; the south line of Shanghai Kunming Expressway leads to Xiangtan City from Jiangxi Province and Liling City, and passes through the town in the east-west direction. The two expressways set up an interchange in Jiemu village.
