Chengxi Street
Chengxi street, Wuling District, Changde City, Hunan Province. After the liberation of Changde in July 1949, Changde county was established in August of the same year. Chengxi street is subordinate to Changgeng town of Changde county.

Chengxi street is subordinate to Changgeng town of Changde county. In 1950, it was divided into the third district of Changde City. In 1952, it was changed into the Western District when the democratic government was established, and the CPC Western District Committee and the district office were established. In 1956, the Western District Office was abolished, and two offices, Renmin West Street and Chengxi street, were set up respectively. The office was established in April 1957. It is an agency of Changde Municipal People's government and is at the administrative section level. It is responsible for exercising various management functions of the government in its jurisdiction. In 1960, Chengxi Street office, Chengbei Street office and Hucheng District merged to form Yongsheng people's commune. In September 1961, urban and rural areas were divided. In 1962, Chengxi Street office was restored. In July 1968, Chengxi Street Revolutionary Committee was established to perform the functions of the original office. In 1972, the CPC Chengxi Street Committee was established. In January 1979, the street Revolutionary Committee was canceled and the West Street office was restored.
Street history
In 1985, the administrative division of Chengxi street was Daxing street in the East, which was at the junction of Chengnan street and Yuanjiang River in the south. In the West and North, it borders on Danzhou Township and Shihu urban and rural areas of Changde county. The office is located in No. 219, Renmin Middle Road (moved to No. 61, huajiekou lane, Yucai Middle Road in May 2002). It has jurisdiction over 12 neighborhood committees: Daxing street, xingjiekou, Guangming lane, Xincun, Beifeng lane, Xidi, Beizhan, Linjiang Road, Chaoyang Road, huajiekou, Changshengqiao and Puyuan. In December 1985, the Municipal People's Government Chang Zheng fa (1985) No. 68 document "notice on adjusting the administrative divisions of the city and adding Street offices and neighborhood committees" delimited the area to the west of Changhao road and the north of the city, and set up another Sancha Road Street office. The administrative divisions of the west of the city were adjusted to the East, starting from shangnanmen passenger terminal, crossing Renmin Middle Road, along Daxing street to Heping West Street, and heading north through weimenkou Panchi street, Jianshe West Road, xiaoximen, Xiaochang street to the north, dyeing and weaving factory, jiajiahu (including the lake), Qianji belt factory, Wuling road to the north, across Binhu road to the north of the Regional Meteorological Bureau; Beifeng Lane on the North Bank of Yuanjiang River to the west, Changhao Road to the east of Changsheng bridge by Mogong bridge and qiche north station to the west of the city, which is under the jurisdiction of Daxing street and xingjiekou With the development of urban construction, ten neighborhood committees, namely, Xincun, Guangming lane, Xinxi street, huajiekou, luomadian, Chaoyang Road, Changshengqiao and siyanjing, have undergone several zoning adjustments in 1990, 2000 and 2001. The jurisdiction of Chengxi street now starts from Wuling Pavilion (including Wuling Square) in the East, turns east along Wuling avenue to Yucai Road to Langzhou Road, and turns north along Langzhou road to Chuang road Zihe River, along the North Bank of the river to provincial highway 1804, north to railway line, West (including railway station market) to Chaoyang Road to Yuanjiang ferry terminal. It covers an area of about 10 square kilometers. With 31002 permanent residents and 82674 permanent residents, it administers ten community residents committees, namely Guangming lane, Xincun, Chaoyang, Xinguang, Changshengqiao, Xiyuan, Binhu, jiajiahu, Chuanzihe and Hongsheng.
