Chaoyang town is located in the northeast of Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, with Daling and dayingzi town in the East, jiamaling and suzigou town in the south, LAOHUDONG and huanghuadian town in the west, shidaoling and Qingliangshan town in the north, covering an administrative area of 205.77 square kilometers.

Chaoyang town is high in the north and low in the south. The main mountains are Qingliang mountain. Maokui mountain, the highest peak in the town, is located at the junction of Fengcheng City, with an altitude of 1141.5 meters; the lowest point is located in Lingqian formation of Chaoyang village, with an altitude of 45 meters.
