As of June 2020, Chaoyang town has one community and six administrative villages, and the people's Government of Chaoyang town is located in Chaoyang community.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the top 16 of tongchengli in Daning County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belongs to Chaoyang Township, the Fourth District of Wuxi County.
In March 1953, Chaoyang township was divided into five townships: Dongyang, Weirui, Jialan, Qingshan and Chaoyang.
In June 1955, Jialan and Qingshan returned to Chaoyang township.
In May 1958, Chaoyang Township and Jinpen Township merged to form Chaoyang commune.
In June 1961, Chaoyang commune established Jinpen commune.
In June 1983, Chaoyang commune was changed into Chaoyang Dong township.
In August 2005, Chengshui township was merged into Chaoyang Dong township.
