Shentou Town, belonging to Lingcheng District, Dezhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the northeast of Lingcheng district. It connects zi Town and Mi town in the East, zhengjiazhai town and Linqi street in the south, Ji Township in the west, huiwangzhuang town and yidukou town in the north. The area is 114.82 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Shen tou town was 57978.

Shentou town was originally Shentou commune. In February 1984, it was changed into Shentou town. As of June 2020, Shentou town has 98 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

By the end of 2018, there were 41 industrial enterprises in Shentou Town, including 6 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 19 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Shentou Han Tombs

On both sides of the Xijin River, which surrounds Shentou Town, there are dozens of ancient tombs, which stretch for several miles. They are commonly known as 72 suspected tombs.

Dongfangshuo painting praise stele

The painting praise stele of Dongfang Shuo, commonly known as Yanzi stele, was written by Yan Zhenqing, the governor of Pingyuan County in Tang Dynasty. The stele was originally kept in the government courtyard of Lingcheng district. In May 1983, the new stele was reproduced and the old stele was kept in the Cultural Museum of Lingcheng district. The stele is 2.6 meters high, 1.03 meters wide and 0.22 meters thick. It has a large shape and is carved on all sides. On the front and both sides of the text is the text of "Mr. Dongfang Shuo's painting praise" written by the Marquis Zhan of Jin and Xia dynasties, and on the back is the inscription of "Mr. Dongfang's painting praise" written by Yan Zhenqing of Tang Dynasty. There are 15 lines in Yin and 15 lines in Yang, 3 lines on both sides, 30 characters in each line, and regular script in big characters.
