Hekou town

Hekou town is under the jurisdiction of Xiangtan County, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. It is located in the west gate of Xiangtan County, only one river away from Xiangtan City and Yishuhe town. Tanhua highway and 320 national highway run through the town, and Yuelin expressway has an exit to the town, surrounded by Xiangjiang River, Juanshui River and Lianshui River. Historical evolution

Hekou town was established in 1993, from Hekou township to an established town. In 1958, yangjiaqiao Town, Hekou Town, was converted into iron and steel people's commune. In 1961, Zhengfeng commune was divided into three small communes, of which Hekou commune was one. In 1984, she was withdrawn to become a township and Hekou township was established. In 1995, gutangqiao Township, shuangbanqiao Township and Hekou Township were merged into Hekou township. The office of the town government was located in the former Hekou District Office.
