Qukou Town, belonging to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the east of Kaizhou District, Yunyang County in the East, Zhaojia street in the south, Wenfeng street and Hanfeng street in the west, Houba town and Jinfeng town in the north. It is 14 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 68 square kilometers.
In the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931), the territory of Qukou town was Qukou township; in November 1992, Qukou township was changed to Qukou town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the canal town was 26042. As of June 2020, Qukou town has 2 communities and 8 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in juping community.

History of construction
In 1931, Qukou township was established in Xikou Township. In 1932, Qukou township was merged into puxikou township.
In May 1961, puxikou Township set up Qukou commune.
In July 1966, Qukou commune was renamed Shengli commune.
In June 1979, Shengli commune was renamed Qukou commune.
In September 1984, Qukou commune was changed into Qukou township.
In November 1992, Qukou township was changed into Qukou Town, and Puxi township was merged into Qukou town.

By the end of 2011, Qukou town had one community in juping, nine administrative villages in Xinghua, Qinyun, Puxi, Qukou, Chaxiang, Maoping, Xiangyang, Shuangfeng, and jiangelou, and four resident groups and 76 villager groups.
