Park Street

Gongyuan street, a street under the jurisdiction of Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of Yanji city. It starts from Yanji River in the East, Buerhatong River in the south, Minzhu village in Xiaoying town in the West and Fazhan village in Yilan town in the north, with a total area of 6.58 square kilometers.

It was built in 1907 in the 33rd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. In 1986, it was divided into two streets, park and Yanxi. In October 2001, the two streets were merged into Park Street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Park Street was 78985. As of June 2020, Park Street has 12 communities under its jurisdiction.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Gongyuan street was 9.9606 million yuan, an increase of 78.01% over the previous year.

History of construction

It was built in 1907.

In 1931, Yanji shrine and Concord were set up, belonging to the park area.

In 1945, the park area was changed into a park.

In 1948, it was changed to park street.

In June 1953, Gongyuan street and Gongxin village were merged into Gongyuan Street office.

In 1955, it was changed into the fourth office.

In 1956, it was changed into Park Street.

In 1986, it was divided into Park and Yanxi street.

In October 2001, the two streets were merged into Park Street.

The sub district office is located in Yuanhang community.

Park Street in the East, South, Xiping open, surrounded by mountains in the north, flat in the middle, horseshoe shaped basin, constitute a mountain valley plain. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The terrain in the north is mountainous, with an average altitude of 150 meters.

There are two rivers in Park Street. Buerhatong river flows from southwest to East, flows into Gaya River in Tumen City and then flows into Tumen River. Yanji river flows from north to South and flows into Buerhatong River in urban area.
