Qinghe town, belonging to Qinghe County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of the central part of Qinghe County, adjacent to areletobei Township in the East and south, and connected with Arele Township in the West and North. In 2018, the area of Qing River town was 45.84 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 15955.
In 1951, Qinghe town was divided into two districts; in 1958, rocket commune was established with qiaoxia township; in 1973, it was changed into Qinghe town; in 1984, it was renamed Qinghe town. In June 2020, Qinghe town has five neighborhood committees and one administrative village.
