Maying Township, belonging to Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Chicheng County, adjacent to Yunzhou Township in the East, Ningbao Township in the south, Chongli District in the west, Guyuan County in the north, 30.5km away from the people's Government of Chicheng County, with a total area of 315.22km2.
During the Qing Dynasty, Maying Township belonged to Chicheng County; in 1984, Maying commune was changed into Maying township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Ma Ying township was 11166. As of June 2020, Maying village has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Maying village.
The main food crops in Maying township are corn, millet and potato; the main animal husbandry is pig, sheep and poultry; the main industry is silver mine, quartz stone development and marigold processing.
History of construction
During the Qing Dynasty, Maying Township belonged to Chicheng County.
In June 1947, it belonged to chibei County; in December of the same year, it belonged to Chicheng County.
In 1953, Maying township was established.
In August 1958, the Great Wall commune was established; in September of the same year, it was transferred to Longguan county and changed into Maying commune.
In 1960, it was transferred to Chicheng County.
In 1984, it was changed from Maying commune to Maying township.
