Wenquan Town, belonging to Yu County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the West and south of Yu County, adjacent to Weizhou town in the East, Songjiazhuang town in the southeast, Xiagong village in the south, Guangling County in Shanxi Province in the west, Nanliuzhuang town in the north and yongquanzhuang Township in the northeast. It is 12.4km away from the people's Government of Yu County, with a total area of 63.26km2.
In 1928, Nuanquan town was established; in 1958, Nuanquan town was changed into Nuanquan commune; in 1984, Nuanquan commune was changed into Nuanquan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in warm spring town was 17799. As of June 2020, Nuanquan town has 16 administrative villages and the people's Government of Nuanquan town is located in fengshuizhuang village.

History of construction
In 1928, the town of Nuanquan was established. In 1931, it was the Second District of Yu County. In 1941, it was transferred to Guangling County, Shanxi Province. In 1946, Yu county was divided into two districts.
In 1953, it was called warm spring town.
In 1958, Nuanquan town was changed into Nuanquan commune.
In 1984, Nuanquan commune was changed into Nuanquan town.
