Santai town
Santai Town, subordinate to jimusar County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of jimusar county. It is adjacent to qingyanghu Township and Xindi Township in the East, Urumqi county in Urumqi City in the south, Laotai Township in the west, Hongqi farm of BINGTUAN Sixth Agricultural Division in the North, and Gurbantonggut desert in the northwest. The area is 509.39 square kilometers. In 2018, 11425 people registered residence.
In 1938, it was renamed three districts. In 1946, Santai town was built. In 1950, it was divided into three districts. In 1958, Santai commune was established. In December 1984, the township system was restored to Santai town. In October 2019, Santai town governs one community and seven administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises in Santai town and 3 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
