Gucheng Town, subordinate to Longyao County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the north of Longyao County, with DAZHANGZHUANG Township in the East, Shankou town in the south, Baixiang County in the West and Ningjin County in the north. It is 12.5 kilometers away from the people's Government of Longyao County, with a total area of 64.46 square kilometers.
During the Anti Japanese War, Gucheng belonged to the third district of Longping County; in 1987, Gucheng was changed from Gucheng to Gucheng. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the urban area was 49726. As of June 2020, Gucheng has 18 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Gucheng is stationed in Gucheng village.
In 2018, there were 55 industrial enterprises in Gucheng, including 12 large-scale enterprises and 73 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Anti Japanese War, Gucheng belonged to the third district of Longping county.
In 1953, urban and rural areas were established as the first district (Dahuo).
In 1958, Gucheng commune was established.
In 1984, Gucheng commune was changed into Gucheng city.
In 1987, it was changed from Gucheng to Gucheng.
Xiaomenggu township was incorporated into the town in 1996.
