Liangshuihe Mongolian Township
Liangshuihe Mongolian township is one of the only two minority townships in Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the southern suburb of Beipiao City, only 5 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Baishi Reservoir in the East, Jinzhou port in the South and Chaoyang City in the west, covering an area of 112.2 square kilometers. With developed transportation, fast communication, railway and highway network, Liangshuihe township is rich in mineral resources, known as "the land of zeolite, the land of cement".
Historical evolution
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Liangshuihe township was founded.
In 1999, the town was merged and renamed Xiafu Mongolian township.
On December 4, 2001, according to the reply of the provincial people's government, Xiafu Mongolian township was renamed Liangshuihe Mongolian township.
administrative division
Liangshuihe Mongolian countryside governs six villages, namely Liangshuihe village, wansongshan village, aishugou village, Gaotai village, xiawanzi village and zhoujiagou village. The township government is located in Liangshuihe village.
geographical conditions
The total administrative area of Liangshuihe Mongolian township is 112.2 square kilometers, including 1116.3 hectares of cultivated land, about 17400 mu. The region belongs to hilly and mountainous areas, with seven mountains, two rivers and one farmland. Most of the cultivated land is scattered on the hillside, with large slope, poor soil layer and low soil fertility. It is common to eat by watching the sky. It has 6 administrative villages, 40 villager groups, 2662 households and a population of 6820, including 618 ethnic minorities. Affected by the continental monsoon climate, it has four distinct seasons, long winter and summer, short spring and autumn, with an average annual temperature of 7-8 degrees Celsius, sufficient light, low rainfall, and an average annual precipitation of 300-400mm. It is one of the relatively arid areas in western Liaoning.

Liangshuihe Mongolian township is rich in natural resources, with a large number of cement stone, limestone, zeolite, neutral sandy slate and so on, known as "the country of zeolite, the hometown of cement stone". Liangshuihe township is rich in water resources. More than 20 years ago, every gully was full of streams and springs.
Economic situation
Agriculture
The township's planting industry is mainly corn production, supplemented by some sorghum, millet, beans and other crops. It has three 50 mu vegetable protected areas and one 20 mu vegetable protected area. Forestry production was steadily promoted, with 5629 mu of afforestation in 2017. Livestock production has been promoted as a whole, and the amount of livestock and poultry in the township has increased year by year. At present, there are 4560 pigs, 450 cattle, 8900 sheep and 56000 birds. A high standard water conservancy pond will be built.
Industry
The industrial foundation of Liangshuihe township is weak, and the stock of industrial enterprises is small. Due to the abundant resources of zeolite, cement stone and limestone in the township, some industrial and mining enterprises of zeolite and cement stone and gravel plants have been developed, and now they are in the stage of closing down. In recent years, the township has developed Beipiao Zhonglian Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Sanhe egg storage Co., Ltd., Beipiao Penghao fly ash Co., Ltd., drunkard peanuts factory and other private enterprises.
infrastructure
Liangshuihe Mongolian township has developed transportation, convenient and fast. Jincheng railway, Beipiao branch line, Beijing Shenyang high-speed railway and Beipiao station of high-speed railway are all located in the township. Baojin provincial highway, Beida highway, East Outer Ring Road of high-speed railway, Changshen Expressway and Beipiao toll station are also located in the township. The black asphalt pavement of village road is 19.62 km, and the rest are hardened by mud road.
Cultural tourism
Liangshuihe Mongolian township has profound cultural heritage and rich tourism resources.
Shijiazi is located in the east of xiawanzi village, bordering Liangshuihe village in the East, fanjiawan formation in the West and luotuoying village in Wujianfang town in the north. At present, there are 151 households with 190 Mongolian and Han people living here. According to historical records, the south mountain of shijiazi is called Zhenzhu mountain. The mountain looks like a dragon. The mountain is rugged and surrounded by water. It was chosen by Beizi house of tumed Right Banner as a cemetery. There are three royal tombs in Yangpo, including the tomb of chuhu'er in emubu, which came to Bayan Heshuo in 1629. There are temples built in the cemetery, three Ying in the main hall, two Ying in the East and two Ying in the west, two mountain gates, and the remains of shellfish in the main hall. Every July, zhutaiji gathers here to offer a sacrifice. The prince chose ten slaves of different surnames to take care of the tombs, so he called them ten families.
The ancient village of shabutai in zhoujiagou village is well preserved, and has been declared as a national ancient village protection site. These cultural tourism sites are in urgent need of development, connecting with the estuarine wetland and Swan Lake scenic area to form a unique regional natural and cultural landscape.
