Historical evolution
Dongshan used to be a mountain
Dongshan street is located in the east of Ruian City, adjacent to Donghai in the East, Anyang New District in the north and Economic Development Zone in the south. Dongshan is a place near the sea of Feiyun River, but deep in the memory of Ruian people, Dongshan is a fishing port, far from the memory of mountain. Therefore, Ruian people have the saying that "there is no mountain in the East Mountain". in fact, before the Qing Dynasty, Dongshan was not so close to the East as Dongshan street, and its location was about the east side of Feiyun River sister bridge. According to Yu Di Shan Chuan, Volume I of Ruian county annals of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Baiyan mountain (i.e. Longshan in today's urban area) is located in the place of "one mile to the east of the city", where "Dongshan connects with Baiyan mountain and three miles to the east of the city" In other words, Dongshan mountain is closely connected with Longshan. Longshan is about 0.5 km away from the east gate of the county, and Dongshan is about 1.5 km away from the east gate of the county. According to the annals of Rui'an County in Jiaqing County in Qing Dynasty, Dongshan is not only a mountain, but also a well-known rock well In the mountains near the Feiyun River, apart from Longshan and Dongshan, there is also an important mountain named anlumeiao mountain in Qianlong county annals of Qing Dynasty and Jiaqing county annals of Qing Dynasty. According to the annals of Rui'an County in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, "an Lumiao mountain, five li to the east of the city, two rock snakes meander into the sea. There is a local god Huimin Hou Temple, so it is named. In the east of the temple, there is huanggongyan, which is shaped like a pen bed, and has the toes left by Xu Jingheng and Shu xiaotai in Song Dynasty. " That is to say, Anlu temple mountain is about 2.5km away from the east gate of the county. There is also Xu Jingheng (1072-1128, Shaoyi, Hengtang). The site of shuxiaotai, one of the four sages of Ruian, was revered by later generations.
It was a village before the Northern Song Dynasty
According to volume 10 of Ruian City annals, traffic, bridges, anchorages and road pavilions, the earliest bridge in Ruian is "the lake base bridge under the banshanting in Tuoshan Zhongfan Village (now Luofeng) built between Zhenguan and Tang Dynasties (627-649). The earliest existing bridges are the bridge, ancestral hall bridge, Zhuxi bridge, Fengxian Bridge, Shangtou bridge built in the Northern Song Dynasty and the balustrade bridge built in the early Southern Song Dynasty. " The Shangtou bridge mentioned above is in Dongshan. According to the third chapter of urban bridge, Shangtou bridge is located in Shangbu village, Dongshan, with a cross frame on the river. It is suspected that it was built in the Zhenghe period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1111-1117). It is a column type stone beam bridge, 10 meters long and 1.70 meters wide, with three holes. The middle pier is composed of three stones. The abutments on both sides are built with coarse stones, and each hole of the bridge deck is paved with three stones Slate. on the north side of the bridge slab, 19 characters are engraved: "meeting head Wang Di, Wang Yiye, meet the teacher, raise the masses to build, answer four en and three Kou", while on the south side, some characters are not detailed. It is believed to be the only ancient bridge in the Northern Song Dynasty. A bridge may explain that the history of Dongshan village should be before the Northern Song Dynasty.
Dongshan City
The history of Dongshan forming a village and town is far before the Northern Song Dynasty, but it began to be famous after the construction of Dongshan patrol city. In the Yuan Dynasty, Ruian set up an inspection department in Meitou (now Haicheng street, Longwan District, Wenzhou), and built an inspection department city in Hougang of Meitou. In 1387, the inspection department moved to dongshanjiangkou of Qingquan township (now the feiyunjiangkou area of Dongshan Street) and built a new city wall about 1.5km outside the east gate of the county. at that time, how big was Dongshan city? The stone structure of "one hundred and fifty-five feet around the city, two feet high, one door". In 1566, Zhu Zhan built four feet higher. In "Dongshan city", there is also an official organization like "inspection department". The "Dongshan inspection department" in "Ruian county annals of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty" indicates the scale of the Department, "three main halls, two ear rooms, one gate house, three yamen houses, twenty Gongbing rooms and one Land Temple". In the 18th year of emperor Shunzhi's reign, it was abandoned. After the exhibition, the hall was still built and the soldiers were deployed to defend. " at that time, during the construction period of Dongshan patrol City, Ruian also had "Hai'an city" and "Meitou city". Haian Suo city is 100 Zhang on Saturday, meitoubao city is 100 Zhang on Thursday, and Dongshan city is 155 Zhang around, which is much larger than Haian city and Meitou city.
Once abandoned
Shortly after the Manchu rulers entered the pass and established the Qing Dynasty, in order to prevent the mainland residents from supporting Zheng Chenggong's anti Qing army, they implemented the "order of moving to the sea" in the coastal areas. In the whole 20 years from 1661, the 18th year of Shunzhi to 1681, the Manchu rulers ordered the coastal residents of Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong to move 15 to 25 kilometers inland, building boundaries and creating no man's land. Burning houses and ships outside the boundary, cutting down trees, abandoning the countryside, forbidding to enter the sea, and beheading those who cross the boundary. Ruian, located on the southeast coast, certainly can't escape the disaster. However, the scope of the no man's land was reduced to 2.5 km. Mr. Song Weiyuan, a scholar of literature and history, believes that Ruian county is 5 kilometers away from the sea in the East. If the boundary is built 15 kilometers away, the whole county and the homes of tens of thousands of people will be abandoned outside the boundary, which will certainly shake the hearts of the people and do great harm to the Qing government. According to the official office of Rui'an county annals of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, Dongshan inspection department was originally located in Meitou, Wudu, Chongtai township. It was moved to the present site of the 11th capital in the 20th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, the hall was abandoned. Shunzhi abandoned the boundary in the 18th year. After the exhibition, the hall is still built... " And "magazine Temple": "Pure Land Temple, built in Dongshan, Yuan Zhizheng. It was added in 1528, the seventh year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. In the 18th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the boundary was moved and destroyed, and then rebuilt. " From this point of view, both the inspection department and the Pure Land Court of Dongshan are outside the boundary, indicating that Dongshan has abandoned all or part of it. check out the explanation of "Anlu temple mountain" in "Qianlong Ruian county annals of Qing Dynasty": "go to Wuli East of the city. The temple was destroyed in the 18th year of Shunzhi. " Note said: "in the early Qing Dynasty, the sea ban, inserted boundary markers in the coastal area, boundary East for no man's land." This shows that the east of "Anlu temple mountain", about 2.5 kilometers outside the east gate of the county, is uninhabited.
