Donggang Town, belonging to Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Haigang District, 6 kilometers away from the people's Government of Haigang District, starting from Shanhaiguan in the East, Qinhuangdao port in the south, Haigang town in the West and Shanhaiguan in the north. The total administrative area is 18.34 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Donggang town was 15569.
Before 1948, Donggang Town belonged to the 18th township of Linyu county. On June 12, 1984, it returned to Haigang district and changed to huangtukan Township, which was named after the township government. In September 1985, the Township People's government moved to Liucun. In 1996, huangtukan township was changed into Donggang Town. As of June 2020, Donggang Town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages. The town people's government is located at 33 Qinshan road.

History of construction
Before 1948, Donggang Town belonged to the 18th township of Linyu county.
In November 1948, it was huangtukan Township, the first district of Linyu county.
In 1952, a mutual aid group was established.
In 1954, the junior society was established.

In September 1958, Shihe commune was established, and the integration of government and society was implemented.
In May 1961, it was divided into huyuanzhai, gaojianzhuang and huangtukan communes.
