Shimen town
Shimen town belongs to Ganquan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northwest of Ganquan County, it borders gaoshao Township in the East, Donggou Township in the south, Xiasiwan town in the west, zhuanyaowan town in Ansai district and wanhuashan Township in Baota District in the north. The total area is 473.57 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Shimen town has 15 administrative villages. As of 2018, the number of registered residence in Shimen town was 16910. In 2011, the financial revenue of Shimen town was 2.2 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 56.83 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 5370 yuan.
Historical evolution
Because of the confrontation between the two mountains in the south of the village, the wall stands like a door, and the water flows through the middle stream, it is called Shimen village. The township is named after the village.
Before 1934, it belonged to Ansai County.
From the 25th year of the Republic of China to the 26th year of the Republic of China (1936-1937), it belonged to three districts of Ganluo county.
From the 26th year of the Republic of China to the 36th year of the Republic of China (1937-1947), it belongs to three districts of Ganquan County.
In the spring of 1948, it belonged to two districts.
In 1958, it belonged to Siwan commune.
In 1964, Wangping commune was established.
In 1983, Shimen township was established.
