Chenguantun town
Chenguantun town is located in the south of Jinghai District, Tianjin, on both sides of the south canal, 38 ° 49 'n, 116 ° 54' e, 42.5 km away from Tianjin, and 12.5 km away from the urban area of Jinghai district.
It is adjacent to xizhaizhuang town in the East, Yanzhuang town in the west, tangguantun town in the South and Shuangtang town in the north, with an area of 92.5 square kilometers, 24 administrative villages and a permanent resident population of 30900 (2017). The town government is located in the north of chenguantun village.
evolution
The town was named after Chen Guantun. In the Qing Dynasty, Chen Guantun was set up to train, belonging to the South Road of Jinghai County. Chenguantun district was established in December 1949. In October 1952, it was renamed Jiuqu, and in August 1957, chenguantun township was built, all of which are located in chenguantun. In August 1958, chenguantun management area was established, belonging to GANGLONG commune. Chen Guantun commune was established in May 1961. Chen Guantun township was changed in July 1983 and Chen Guantun town in August 1988. In 1996, it covers an area of 92.5 square kilometers and has a population of 31000. It governs 24 administrative villages, including gaoze, lvguantun, zhangguantun, wangguantun, gaoguantun, dongdiaotai, Yijie, Erjie, Sanjie, nanchangtun, beichangtun, Yuancun, Tancun, xichangtun, Xiaoji, Pancun, Caocan, xiaodiaotai, zouzui, xidiaotai, Jizhuangzi, huxinzhuang, Xiaowa and Dawa. History and culture
Chenguantun Town, with a long history, is the birthplace of winter cuisine in Tianjin. The site of dongpingshu County, a cultural relic protection unit in Tianjin, is located in xidiaotai village. In the Western Han Dynasty, it was once set up in Shuxian County, Dongping, 400 meters northwest of xidiaotai village. In 982 and 993, diaotai village and paddy field were set up in Northern Song Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, chenguantun granary was built in 1746 on the East Bank of the canal.

The town is flat and low-lying, with wanjuntao depression in the East and Gucheng depression in the West. In history, the soil is salty and alkaline, with nine floods in ten years. After 1963, we carried out water conservancy supporting projects and basically solved the threat of drought, flood and alkali. The town has 72774 mu of arable land, 2.5 mu of agriculture per capita, mainly producing wheat, corn and cabbage. In 2008, the total grain output was 25747 tons.
