Zela Township
Zela township is subordinate to Ganluo County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is located in the west of Ganluo County, adjacent to Yutian town in the East, Meihua township of Yuexi County across the river in the south, muliaoping Township in the west, Haitang town and Tuanjie Township in the north. It is 19 kilometers away from the county.
In 2014, Zela township has a total area of 50.82 square kilometers; it governs 4 villages; in 2014, it has a total population of 3751 people; the terrain is an acute triangle; the climate belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 18 ℃, an average annual sunshine hours of 2100 hours, and an average annual frost free period of 187 days. Chengdu Kunming railway and Wujin highway cross the border. On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Zela township.
Evolution of organizational system
Originally belonging to Haitang township of Yuexi County, it was under the jurisdiction of Tusi Wujia from 1927 to 1934. In 1956, it was divided into Liaoping Township and part of it was set up as zengla autonomous township. In 1956, it was transformed into zeluo township. In 1959, it was divided into Ganluo County along with Haitang district. In 1960, it was transformed into Yutian district. In 1974, it was transformed into zeluo people's commune. In 1981, it was renamed as Zela people's commune. In 1985, it was withdrawn from commune to restore township system. In 1992, it was merged into Yutian town. In 1994, it was changed into zengla people's We will restore the township system. on June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Zela township.
