Taiping Town
Taiping Town, belonging to Shuangyang District, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the south of Shuangyang District, bordering on Shanhe street in the East, Jichang town of Panshi City and Diju township of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County in the south, Lu Township in the West and Pinghu street in the north. It is 10 kilometers away from Shuangyang District People's government, with a total area of 326 square kilometers.
During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, Taiping Town belonged to the Chengxin society of Jilin government; in 1985, Taiping town was changed from Taiping town to Taiping town. By the end of 2018, the population of Taiping town registered residence was 45525. As of June 2020, Taiping town has one community and 22 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Taiping town is located in Tianjia village.
In 2018, Taiping town had 59 industrial enterprises and 38 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jilin government credit society. Qing Xuantong two years (1910), is a three police district (tudingzipu).
In 1941, tuding village was set up in three districts of Tongyang county. In the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), it belonged to Shuangyang County, gaituding township. In 1947, it belonged to three districts (tuding District).
In 1955, tuding township was changed to Taiping Township.
In October 1958, Taiping Township was transformed into Taiping commune.
In 1983, Taiping commune was changed into Taiping Township.
In 1985, Taiping Township was replaced by Taiping town.

Taiping town is located in the western edge of Jilin hadaling, also known as the southern mountain of Shuangyang. The terrain is high in the East and low in the west, high in the South and low in the north. Most of the terrain is hilly land.
