Zhangzhen, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located at 116 ° 51'43 ″ ~ 116 ° 58'22 ″ E and 40 ° 05'58 ″ ~ 40 ° 11'57 ″ n. It is located in the east of Shunyi District, adjacent to Machangying town and yukou town of Pinggu District in the East, dashungezhuang town in the south, Yang Town in the West and longwantun town in the northwest. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Zhangzhen area was located in Yisan Township, Northwest Road, Sanhe county. During the war of liberation, it was the first district of Shunyi County (East). In April 1949, it belonged to the Sixth District of Shunyi County. In 1958, Zhanggezhuang township was established. In June 1961, the former Zhanggezhuang commune was divided into four communes: Zhanggezhuang commune, Zhaogezhuang commune, dashungezhuang commune and yinjiafu commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In November 1989, Zhanggezhuang township was changed into Zhangzhen. In April 1997, Zhaogezhuang township was incorporated. By the end of 2018, Zhang Zhen had 24372 registered residence population. As of October 2019, Zhangzhen has 2 communities and 29 administrative villages, and the town government is located at No. 3 Zhangzhen street.

History of construction
Zhangzhen has a long history and Zhanggezhuang was formed in Liao Dynasty.
In the Ming Dynasty, Hezhuang and mijiazhuang, whose surnames were used as village names, and Hetaoyuan and Nanjiazhuang, whose features were used as village names, were merged into Zhanggezhuang to form a big village.
During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Zhangzhen area was located in Yisan Township, Northwest Road, Sanhe county.
