Lucheng Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Tongzhou District, Beijing, lies between 116 ° 40'57 "~ 116 ° 51'36" E and 39 ° 49'17 "~ 39 ° 55'53" n. In 1914, Lucheng was the third autonomous region of Tongxian county. In 1936, it was the second police district of Tongxian county. In January 1946, Hugezhuang township was built. In December 1948, Tongxian was a district of Tongxian after liberation. In June 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Nanliu Township and Hugezhuang township. In September 1958, it was a part of Songzhuang people's commune. In June 1961, Hugezhuang people's commune was established, with jurisdiction over 24 natural villages. In January 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In July 2000, the township was transformed into a town. In November 2001, Gantang and Hugezhuang were merged into Lucheng town. By the end of 2018, 55725 households in Lu town had registered residence. As of June 2020, Lucheng town has 54 administrative villages and the town government is located at No. 6, Wuxing Road, Tongzhou District.
