Historical evolution

In the fourth year of Jianlong (963) of the Northern Song Dynasty, the old bridge was destroyed by the flood of the Qingyu river. After reconstruction, it was called Longqiao, and the village near the bridge was also called Longqiao town.
In Yuan Dynasty, Sanyuan county was moved to Longqiao town.
After 1949, it was changed into Sanyuan city at district level.
In January 1954, it was renamed Chengguan District of Sanyuan county.
In March 1956, Chengguan District was renamed Chengguan town.
In 1958, the red flag commune of Chengguan town was established.

Sanyuan Town God's Temple
Sanyuan, Town God's Temple, is located in the central part of Chengdu street, East Xianyang street, Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province, with a total construction area of 13390 square meters.
The ancient buildings in Town God's Temple include more than 40 buildings, palaces, corridors, kiosks and so on. They are meticulous and rigorous in structure and solemn and magnificent. In front of the gate, there is a 10 meter high screen wall. In front of the screen wall, there is a pair of iron flagpoles weighing 10 tons. In front of the main gate stands a 12 meter high Xieshan archway, which is carved with traditional Chinese auspicious patterns. The north side of the archway is Town God's Temple gate, 15 meters high, also known as "Bagua hanging ceiling without beam door", supported by ten columns, carved Taiji map and eight diagrams symbols; the central axis of the gate is 3 meters wide of Qingshi road through north and south. The East and west sides of the mountain gate are the card Gallery, which preserves the calligraphy works of some famous ancient figures; the north side is the theater building, which has exquisite construction art; the two sides of the central courtyard are the bell and Drum Tower, which is 14.5 meters high. The main building Chenghuang hall is composed of worship hall and sacrifice hall. The overall height is 15 meters and the building area is more than 700 square meters. There are 6-meter-high statues of the City God and the four heavenly kings in the hall of sacrifice, and 20 paintings reflecting the ten Hall of Yan Jun and the eighteen floor hell temple are displayed in the hall of worship. In addition, there are burning paper building, East and West Hall and bedroom.
Town God's Temple is a major god worshipped in China's religious culture. It is mostly China's heroes and heroes. Founded in 1375, it has a history of more than 600 years. It is one of the most complete ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties in China.
In June 25, 2001, Sanyuan was listed by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in Town God's Temple.
