Qibal Town, belonging to Habahe County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the central and southern part of Habahe County, adjacent to Akeqi town in the East, qialeshihai Township in Jimunai County in the south, kulebai Township in the West and Tiereketi Township in the north. In 2018, the area of the town was 576 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 8226.
In 1962, a public-private joint venture pasture was established in Habahe County; in 1971, it was renamed qibar pasture; in 1984, it was renamed qibar township; on July 24, 2015, it was withdrawn from township to town. In June 2020, eight administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of qibar town.
