Mazha Township, subordinate to Yining County, Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Yining County, adjacent to sulutai Township, nilek County in the East, dunmazha town in the south, wenyar Township in the West and Jinghe County, Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the north, with a total area of 377.28 square kilometers.
Mazha Township originally belonged to Nileke county. In 1984, it was established in Mazha township. By the end of 2018, the population of Mazha Township registered residence was 13944. In 2019, Mazha village governs seven administrative villages.

History of construction
Mazha Township originally belonged to Nileke county.
In January 1966, Dongfeng commune was established after it was transferred to Yining County.
In 1975, seven brigades including aremaili, the former Tuanjie commune, were transferred to Dongfeng commune, and the organization moved to dunmazha.
In 1978, the commune was renamed dunmaza.
In 1984, it was established in Mazha township.
In August 1998, when the state-owned ranch was restructured, borbosong ranch became the sixth administrative village.
