Mangxin town
Mangxin Town, belonging to Yingjisha County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Yingjisha county. It is connected with sahan Township in the East, sugaiti Township and Wuqia town in the south, Chengguan Township in the West and setili Township in the north. It is 3.2km away from Yingjisha County, with a total area of 82.32km2.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), when Yingjisha set up the county, mangxin and Chengguan became a village; in 2018, mangxin township was changed to mangxin town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 28352. In 2019, mangxin town governs 18 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in aremaili village.
Grain crops in mangxin town are mainly wheat and corn; industrial enterprises mainly include brick factory and knife making workshop. In 2018, mangxin town has 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1913, when Yingjisha set up the county, mangxin and Chengguan became a village.
In May 1950, when the township was set up, mangxin was the second district.
In August 1958, munsin commune was established; in December of the same year, munsin commune and setili commune merged to be called munsin commune.
In December 1961, setili commune was established.
In 1966, it was merged into a commune and renamed Xianfeng commune.
In 1970, it was divided into two communes, Xianfeng (mangxin) and Xiangyang (setili).
In 1978, it was renamed mangxin commune.
In August 1984, mangxin commune was changed into mangxin township.
In 2018, mangxin township was changed from township to town.
