Akewusitang Township
Akkutstun Township, a city of Kuche, Akesu, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Kuche, and is connected to the town of dutuodan. The south is connected with Hani Kata Town, West and Qichou Town, and north is connected to Wuqia Town, uzun town and yakha town. In 2018, the area was 377.73 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 17764.
In 1884, when Xinjiang was established as a province, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhongnan township of Fumin Department of Kuqa Zhili. In 1948, it was reorganized into the Fourth District, Changxing Township, and the Fifth District, MaoGong township. In March 1959, the shock commune and the solidarity commune were merged into the solidarity commune. In August 1984, akewusitang township was built. As of October 2019, akewusitang township has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
In 1884, when Xinjiang was established as a province, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhongnan township of Fumin Department of Kuqa Zhili.
In 1913, Kuqa County was under the jurisdiction of the second district.
In 1946, it was under the jurisdiction of Changxing Township in the Fifth District and MaoGong Township in the Sixth District.
In 1948, it was reorganized into the Fourth District, Changxing Township, and the Fifth District, MaoGong township.
In 1950, it belonged to the seventh district.
In 1958, when the commune was transformed, it was a surprise commune.
In March 1959, the shock commune and the solidarity commune were merged into the solidarity commune.
On July 6, 1981, Halahatang commune set up eight brigades, namely, bostankuoshtirek, gongbaiziyirik, topairik, weierkuleirik, paiziawati, goleirik, kalasa and Bostan, and established akwusitang commune.
In August 1984, akewusitang township was built.
