Aksupu Township, belonging to Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Yuli County. It is connected with Tarim Township in the East, qiapakan aigezi Township in the south, Xingping town in the West and xinir town in the north. It is 26 kilometers away from Yuli County, with a total area of 397.5 square kilometers.
In 1952, aksupu township was the first district and the second township; in 1987, it was renamed aksupu Township from Tarim township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Akesu was 2819. In 2019, aksupu Township governs four administrative villages.
The main economic crops in aksupu township are cotton, vegetables, snow chrysanthemum and so on; animal husbandry is mainly raising cattle, sheep and poultry. In 1952, it was the first district and the second township.
In 1958, it was the third satellite commune.
In 1960, it became Tarim commune.
In 1984, Tarim commune was transformed into Tarim township.
In 1987, Tarim township was renamed aksupu township.
