Lunnan Town, belonging to Luntai County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Luntai County, adjacent to Caohu Township in the East, Yuli County across the river in the south, Kuqa County in the west, qunbake town and halbak Township in the north, with a total area of 1640.23 square kilometers.
Lunnan town was officially established on January 10, 1996. In 2011, the total population of Lunnan town was 15260. In 2019, Lunnan town governs three communities: taheqiao community, yamaiti community, maipikuli community, and taheqiao community.

History of construction
Lunnan town was officially established on January 10, 1996.
In December 2000, Lunnan town government moved from Lunnan community to taheqiao community.
In June 2006, the town government moved to the front area of Tahe park.
