Chonggang Town, subordinate to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Linchuan District, bordering Zhongling street and Songhu Township in the East, Shangdundu town in the west, Hebu Township and Dongguan town in the south, and Zhongling street in the north. The people's Government of Chonggang town is located along the Shangqi line (Fenggang Village), 4km away from the administrative center of Fuzhou City. With an area of 83.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 12 administrative villages. In late 2018, there were 31 thousand and 100 registered residence population in the town of Chong gang.

History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, Fenggang Township and Changgang Township belonged to the fifth and sixth districts respectively.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were six townships, Fenggang, Shangdeng, Xianxi, Yuanxi, Changgang and Shaofang, belonging to the 13th district (Fenggang District); in 1956, they were merged into Fenggang, pinqiao and Changgang townships; in 1958, Fenggang, pinqiao and Changgang townships were merged into Fenggang commune; in 1961, Changgang commune was established; in 1968, Changgang commune was merged into Fenggang commune; in 1984, Fenggang commune was established Chonggang commune was changed into Chonggang township; in August 1987, Chonggang township was subordinate to Linchuan City; in June 2000, Chonggang town was set up to be subordinate to Linchuan District.
