The registered residence of the city is located in Tongren City, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai province. In 1958, the three townships were merged into Feiyue commune. In 1961, it was renamed Nianduhu commune. In 1984, it was changed to Nianduhu township. As of October 2019, Nianduhu village has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.
In 2011, the annual planting area of grain in Duhu township was 16000 mu, producing 2367.7 tons of grain, and the planting area of cash crops was 5000 mu.
Historical evolution
"Nianduhu" means "dangerous place and fortress" in Tibetan. It is said that it was formed in 1210 when Genghis Khan's army invaded the south.
