Putai Township
Putai Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Ledu District, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of Ledu District, adjacent to Hongshui town in the East, Zhongba Tibetan Township in the south, Hualong County across the mountain, Qutan town in the West and national highway 109 in the north. The administrative area is 146.02 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the population of Pu Tai Township registered residence was 14439. As of October 2019, Putai rural area has jurisdiction over 28 administrative villages.
At the end of 2011, a financial institution in Putai Township opened a branch or an office, with various deposits of 16.882 million yuan. In 2018, Putai township has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction

In 1929, it was changed to Shuangbao Township in Ledu County.
In October 1949, Shuangbao District Office was established, which has jurisdiction over Shuangbao, Hongshui, Qinren and Guihua. This district is the Fifth District.
From August 1952 to November 1955, the area under the jurisdiction of today's Putai Township belonged to the Fifth District.
In August 1956, Putai township was merged into Shuangbao township.
In April 1957, Putai township was built.
In September 1958, it was incorporated into Hongshui commune.
In June 1961, after the cancellation of Hongshui commune, Putai commune was established.
In February 1963, 13 villagers' committees of the former Putai commune transferred taohongying commune and established taohongying commune.
In October 1966, Putai commune was changed into upstream commune.
In September 1969, the original name was restored.
In January 1970, Putai commune was established again.
In August 1984, Putai commune was transformed into Putai township.
In June 2003, two townships, Putai and taohongying, were merged into Putai township.
