Wanggetang town
Wanggetang Town, belonging to Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Xiahe County, adjacent to qu'ao Township in the East, tangga'ang Township in the south, Damai Township and Ganjia Township in the west, and Madang Township in the north. The area is 247.41 square kilometers. In 2018, 4046 people registered residence.
In 1944, Gatan township was established. In 1949, it was divided into the third district. In 1958, the district and township organizations were withdrawn, and the commune system was implemented to form Dongfeng commune. In 1986, it was changed to wanggetang. In 2004, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, wanggetang town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.
