Nawu town
Nawu Town, belonging to Hezuo city of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, is located in the east of Hezuo city. It is connected with zuogemanma Township in the East, Lexiu Township in the south, Zhayou Township in Xiahe County in the West and kagaman Township in the north. The area is 241.18 square kilometers. In 2018, 7162 people registered residence.
In 1943, when Baojia was organized, heicuo township was set up. After 1949, Nayi township was established. In 1958, when the grand commune was established, it merged with Hezuo Town, xiakajia and Zhayou townships to form the red flag commune. In 1959, it was renamed dewulu commune. After the abolition of dewulu city in 1961, Nayi township was restored. In January 1998, it was transferred to Hezuo city. In April 2017, the township was removed to build a town. In June 2020, Nawu town governs nine administrative villages.
