Taishi Township, belonging to Kang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Kang County, adjacent to Pingluo town and douping Township in the south, Longba Township in Wudu District in the west, Hanshui River in the northeast and Chengxian County in the East. It is 85 kilometers away from Kang County, with a total area of 57.08 square kilometers.
Before 1949, Taishi Township belonged to Pingluo town; in October 1983, Taishi commune changed to Taishi township. By the end of 2018, the population of Tai Shi Township registered residence was 3705. As of June 2020, Taishi township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in hekouba village.
The main food crops in Taishi township are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs and poultry. In 2018, Taishi township has one industrial enterprise and five comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to Pingluo town.
After 1949, there were two townships, Liuhe and Taishi.
In April 1955, Liuhe Township was merged into Taishi township.
In November 1958, it was transferred to Pingluo commune.
In June 1961, Taishi commune was established in Pingluo commune.
In October 1983, Taishi commune was transformed into Taishi township.
