Tan River town
Tanhe Township, belonging to Chengxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southernmost part of Chengxian county and the middle and lower reaches of rhinoceros river. It borders xizhunba township of Lueyang County, Shaanxi Province in the East and MianBa Township, Yuntai town and Sitai township of Kangxian County across the river in the South. It is 42 kilometers away from Chengxian County, with a total area of 114.6 square kilometers.
In March 1949, Tanba township was established; in August 2006, Tanba township was merged into tanhe township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the township was 5720. As of June 2020, tanhe township has 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is stationed in tanhe village.
The main food crops in tanhe township are wheat, corn and buckwheat, and the main economic crops are vegetables, walnuts, Chinese medicinal materials and flue-cured tobacco. In 2018, tanhe township has 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In March 1949, Tanba township was set up; in April 1949, tanhe township was set up.
In June 1958, Tanba township was merged into Lianghe commune; in August of the same year, tanhe township was merged into Lianghe commune.
In February 1961, Tan Ba commune was built; in September of the same year, Tan he commune was built.
In November 1983, tanhe commune was transformed into tanhe township.
In August 2006, Tanba township was merged into tanhe township.
