Luotang Town, belonging to Wudu District, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Wudu District, adjacent to Wuma Township and Yuhe Township in the East, Fengxiang Township in the south, Sancang Township in the west, yuezhao Township and Pipa town in the north. It is 86km away from Wudu City, with a total area of 274.72km2.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Luotang town belonged to dieshili; in April 2004, pandi and Xizhi were merged into Luotang town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Luotang town was 27352. In 2019, Luotang town governs 34 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in wangba village.
The main food crops in Luotang town are wheat, corn and potato, and the main animal husbandry is raising pigs. In 2018, Luotang town has 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to dieshili.
In 1913, it belonged to houdieshili. In 1933, it belonged to houdieshi township. In 1941, Luotang township was established.
In August 1950, it was divided into Luotang and sanluo townships.
In June 1953, Bafang, Doujia, Xinhua and Shigou townships were added to Luotang district.
In August 1956, the six townships were merged into Luotang, Xieyang and sanluo townships.
In March 1958, Luotang, Aiyi and sanluo townships were merged into Luotang township; in October of the same year, Luotang commune was established; in November of the same year, Weihe and Pipa commune were merged.
In June 1961, it was divided into Luotang, Pipa and Weihe communes.
In December 1983, Luotang commune was transformed into Luotang township.
In October 1986, Luotang township was transformed into Luotang town.
In April 2004, pandi and Xizhi were merged into Luotang town.
