Biyan Town, belonging to Longxi County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Longxi County, connecting Caizi town in the south, Weiyuan County in the West and Shouyang town in the northeast, with an administrative area of 78.81 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, Biyan town had 20038 registered residence population. Up to June 2020, 11 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of Biyan Town, and the town government was in Biyan village.

History of construction
In May 1950, Biyan and Keyang townships were established.
In April 1953, Longchuan and Longquan townships were added.
In October 1955, the four townships were merged into Biyan and Longchuan townships.
In September 1958, it belonged to Caizi commune and was under the management of Biyan and Longchuan.
In December 1961, Biyan commune was established by merging the two administrative areas.
In July 1983, Biyan township was changed.
In November 2001, Biyan town was changed.
In June 2004, two villages of Huangli Valley and Bi'An in Xueshan Township were assigned to Biyan town.
