Xiaxihao town

Xiaxihao Town, subordinate to Yumen City, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Yumen City, adjacent to mining area in the East, urban area in the south, huangzhawan Township in the West and Huanghua farm in the north. The administrative area is 118.67 square kilometers.

By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the lower West town was 10407. As of June 2020, xiaxihao town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, there was Talwan fort.

In 1929, it belonged to the first district of Yumen county.

In 1943, it belonged to Jingbian village.

In 1949, Jing border region was established, with 10 townships under its jurisdiction, including Donghao, xiaxihao, Xihong, tarwan, Chuanbei Town, Nanyang Town, huangzhawan, jijitaizi, xihuanghuaying and donghuanghuaying.

In 1953, Jingbian was divided into Jingdong and Jingxi districts, and Jingdong district has five townships, namely, Donghao, Xiaxi, Xihong, tarwan and Hedong.

In 1955, Saqu was merged with Township, and three townships, Xihao, Xihong and tarwan, were set up.

In 1956, tarwan township was merged into xiadonghao township.

In September 1958, Hongxing commune was established; in November of the same year, Jingdong management area of Yumen commune was established.

In May 1961, Xiaxi commune was established.

In March 1983, it was changed to xiaxihao township.

In 2004, 8 administrative villages were merged into 6 administrative villages, Sandi village was merged into Hedong Village, xiaxihao village was merged into Shihezi village.

In May 2015, the Department of civil affairs of Gansu Province officially approved the change of xiaxihao Township from township to town.

In May 2016, the township was officially changed from township to town.
