Yanxia Township

Yanxia Township, belonging to Huating City, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the north of Huating City, adjacent to shibaozi Development Zone in the East, Donghua town in the south, xilianqidi town in the west, and machuan Township in Kongtong District in the north, 7.5km away from the county. The total area is 77.54 square kilometers.

Before 1949, it belonged to Chengguan Township. After 1949, it was Yanxia township of Chengguan District. In 1962, Yanxia commune was established when the scale of the commune was adjusted. In November 1983, the township was set up. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Yan Xia township was 4707. As of June 2020, Yanxia countryside has jurisdiction over six administrative villages.

The main grain crops in Yanxia township are wheat and corn. Wheat, corn and potato are the main crops. By the end of 2018, Yanxia Township had three industrial enterprises, including three industrial enterprises above Designated Size, and Liangjiadun town had three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Before 1949, it belonged to Chengguan Township.

After 1949, it was Yanxia township of Chengguan District.

In 1952, after the establishment of the CEDI District, the northwest was classified as CEDI District, and the South was still Chengguan District.

In 1958, when the commune was established. Yanxia and Hanhe were merged and belonged to CEDI commune.

In 1962, Yanxia commune was established when the scale of the commune was adjusted.

In 2005, Yanxia village implemented the policy of transferring farmers to residents. The village system was abolished and Yanmo community was established. The original cooperatives were changed into residents' groups. In 2007, in Donggou village, Machi village implemented the system of transferring farmers to residents and selling their villages. Donggou community and Machi community were established, and the original cooperatives were changed into residents' groups.

At the end of 2011, Yanxia Township governed Yanxia, Machi and Dongtao residents' committees, Tuqiao and Hanhe. Caojiagou has three villagers' committees: 17 residents' groups and 9 villagers' groups.

As of June 2020, Yanxia countryside has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Yanxia community.

Yanxia township is located in the hilly and rocky mountainous area of the Loess Plateau. The terrain is slightly higher in the northwest and lower in the southeast, with an average altitude of about 1600 meters. The highest point is at the top of qiaofuzui mountain in Hanhe village, with an altitude of more than 1700 meters; the lowest point is in the Yanxia Valley, with an altitude of more than 1400 meters.

hydrology

Yanxia township is a tributary of Nehe River Yanxia River and Jinghe River upstream hanjiahe river system. Yanxia river originates from chaonamiaowan, Laozhuang, Machi community, and flows into qianlingxia river of Donghua town from west to East. The river is 6.8 km long. Hanjiahe River enters from Wufeng Shanxi, Donggou community. From northwest to Southeast, hanjiahe river flows into shibaozi River, with a length of 12.8 km.

The most serious mountain torrent disaster occurred in Yanxia Township on the evening of July 16, 1994.
